Usanut is a second-year PhD student in Machine Learning studies. He has a background in information technology with a concentration in database design from Southern New Hampshire University, the US. He has got a scholarship from the government of Thailand to pursue a doctoral degree at Teesside University, the UK. Before studying oversea, he managed a laboratory for digital evidence at the Royal Police Cadet Academy in Thailand. He has worked as a forensic examiner and investigator at a national task force, aiming to tackle child abuse and human trafficking since 2016. The taskforce names Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children, a.k.a. TICAC. Digital evidence collection and multimedia intelligence analysis are two expertise in his role. His proposed project currently involves applying pre-trained models in transfer learning to improve object detection in multimedia forensic investigation, which remains cost-efficient and high-performance. His PhD research topic is 'Learning from Multiple Sources of Input Data for Forensic Intelligence Investigation.'
